It's Broken, But We Have To Believe...

 After watching the supplied videos in this week's module, I was struck by Audrey Watters.  Specifically, I was interested by her point when she mentioned schools and school systems being broken.  Then maybe a minute later, the interviewer noted that Watters' colleagues would often say that she was pessimistic. At first, I was thinking to myself, "Wow, this lady has no spirit." But, after listening to her points, I felt that I was able to see where she was coming from with her claims.  Being new to the field, I often feel like I am filled with so much enthusiasm that I forget that there is massive room for improvement within the field and between each individual school district. After listening to the rest of the video, I agree with Watters and I want to consider this viewpoint moving forward in my professionalism.  I think it's important to have varied view points on what is going on in the education field and listening to Audrey's words helped me to remember...
